Getting Railroaded

We didn't get the opportunity to see if Fred Dicker asked Ms. Gillibrand about our debate invitation on his show last Friday. As you can see we were busy making our little guy happy and meeting the wonderful folks in the Adirondacks. She has until tomorrow to respond before we announce the dates and venue. We don't expect the Congressman to respond or attend.

We're starting to feel comfortable as the outsider campaign. Sure, we don't have the money or the media's favor, let alone recognition. Upcoming weeks will include a number of great outreach opportunities. The Hunter Mountain Jamfest and Americade. We'll be out talking to people in an open and honest fashion. A series of white papers are due to follow before the national LP convention. It's all good. We're making a decent statement of protest and many folks just down right appreciate it over business as usual.
We won't lose much sleep if the other top dogs cry foul about our debate plan. It is in their interest to ignore us. We represent the campaign that will talk about torture at Gitmo or Abu Gharib. We'll have the respect of the voter tired of a 9 trillion dollar debt and undeclared wars. We're not shy about calling for an end to the failed drug war. We're not afraid to defend an open immigration policy.
Political expediency and favor is not what we are courting. Justice and truth are not even remotely approached by campaigns looking to start a new government program. Our special interest is the reduction of government so that our children and grand children will have a sustainable future.
We're starting a new fund raising campaign so we can open a district office. Our first mailing goes out on Monday. We have stretched our precious resources to the max and hope to continue to bring value to a race which so far has featured anemic policy .pdf's, frat parties and other silly comments and economic assumptions.
With any luck we make it through the long, hot petitioning process and register as a possibility when polls start.
