Legal gun owners help protect city
The attempted robbery of Kitzel's Restaurant last Thursday is a perfect example of why it is important for peaceful, law-abiding citizens to arm themselves.
The perpetrator cared nothing about the life of Mr. Kitzel, let alone any gun-control laws. He cared only about the few bucks he thought he could steal.
Kitzel shot the criminal (not a victim), because it was necessary to preserve his own life. Now there is one less thug on the street. If there were more armed citizens, these criminals would have to reconsider their violent ways — or pay the ultimate price.
