My parents house was built prior to the American Revolution. It might be a prime property for one of these gentrified Bed & Breakfasts that pop-up in historical rural areas. After the Kelo case in the Supreme Court, many home and business owners are reacting to it on a local basis.
If the government can now decide your house or business is worth more in tax revenues than you can manage, off you go. Fortunately Libertarians in NY are against this taking and will defend the rights of property owners pretty much without doubt or regret. Here's the latest version of 'Hardfire', featuring Richard Cooper, chair of the LPNY . . .
I've had the pleasure of working with Richard this past year and feel bad that the whole Weld thing didn't work out. I think we all felt after the convention, that perhaps our time had come and 50K would be a reality that would continue to promote the Liberty message and politics throughout the whole state. Richard is an organizer and serious about political promotion and success. Even before the convention he was contacting us and helping various aspects of the campaign. Thanks Coop ! Let's hope Election Day is ours with 50K anyway.
