A good number of LP candidates across the country are making news this election season.
I was happy to see Phil Maymin in CT get into his debates. Phil did a stellar job. He counterd mainstream politics with solid answers and solutions. I especially like how he conserved his time and was able to shred an old MSM bobblehead. Roads. Everyone wants to make Libertarians justify roads. Despite the shortcomings of the Fairtax idea, it's an opportunity for people to consider actually eliminating others. Here's what some other noteworthies this cycle.
I met Barry Hess, candidate for Governor, in Portland this summer and promise I'll get our interview up before election day. He's making some waves in debates. Bob Guthrie mortgaged his home in order to make it in his debates. The great new hope in TX-22, Bob Smither, is debating in forums. Remember Bob's the only other candidate in that district on the ballot. This a result of the Tom Delay meltdown.
Pierce in Ohio is ruffling feathers in this regard and Werner down in TX is inflicting some pain. See the part about the lawsuit.
Let's not forget the good ladies, Dawn Winkler in Colorado is also getting into debates.
