Barack's Mail Bombings

My wife used to be an enrolled Dem before I ground her down and got her to change. Somehow the Hillary and Obama machines must still hold and sift through old records. Perhaps the NYS BOE info is just under that intense competitive pressure that all bureaucracies feel, right. kids_mail.htmAs Libertarians we constantly try to adapt and reinforce approaches that should work. Thus, proper fund raising letters and their efforts are often discussed refined and ultimately do no good because we're not percieved as 'winners'. Here's some excerpts of a 'winners' losing ideas . . .

The first page is the typical vagaries of politics, hope and 21st Century babble. Leaders, dreams and the American people all sound great a year and a half out of the practical reality of popullist governing. But as the second page develops, it's clear how socialist Mr. Obama truly is.

Most Americans want to do something about the high cost of health care in this country

While I have no doubt this is true, I truly believe that like most Americans, most politicians don't understand why costs are so high. A combination of drug subsidies, HMO monopolies and high liability factors are the reason. Universal health care will only compound and exacerbate the problem. One of the key things I really liked about Ron Paul's speech up in New Hampshire last Feb. was his recollection of his time as a part time resident in the early sixties. He described a religious hospital whose charity just about covered all the needs of indigent patients. While he made no mention of self-inflicted health problems, it's something that few consider when prescribing the universal remedy steeped in Socialist assertions.

Most Americans believe that it's time to stop talking about our addiction to oil and start doing something about it.

This is really scary stuff. Is the underlying message that his twelve step plan to reduce dependency, which includes a call to raise fuel standards and create an ethanol infrastructure, part of a greater assumption that we all own the oil that others so diligently go out and develop ? I buy oil from a company, not my fellow citizens. Why not mandate that people buy hydrogen or bio-diesel vehicles ? I do like Arnold's voluntary approach to convert his Hummers. The market will always be a better provider than any conception of joint dependency on foreign oil. Grow up Barack, try to undertsand global markets. I know that's hard for lawyers accustom to enforcing their will through laws and the invisible gun in the room.

I opposed giving the President the broad, open-ended authority to wage this war in 2002 . .

I did too. And like you, I wasn't in the US Senate at the time either to question or dispute it. This is simple opportunism on Barack's part to muster up anti-Hillary sentiment. If you really wanna impress me insist that Congress declare war when these foolish occupations and excursions are being considered by our weak kneed politicians.

He goes on to spout about getting along with both sides of the aisle and all walks of life tripe. At no point do I ever get inspired or interested to send a dime to someone promising all these wonderful Socialist incantations. But I suppose that's why I'm not on the list. Stay tuned, I'll dig up the latest Hillary beg for money mailing.
