Columbia County Congressional Candidate Calls for Comprehensive Coverage and Issues.

For Immediate Release: April 1, 2006

The Sundwall for Congress campaign is calling for media and candidates to cover issues.

The recent announcements of two candidates for the Democratic nomination indicate that it is more than a simple two horse race. The April 15th FEC deadline for the quarter ending March 31, 2006, will not be sufficient to tell where the campaigns actually stand in terms of contributions. If all the campaigns have to wait for the next deadline in July, media coverage might be considered biased when not including comments or references to other party candidates.

Sundwall is calling for campaigns to issue statements, white papers or other equally revealing positions on Eminent Domain, taxation, immigration and other basic issues of democracy. Detailed positions about energy independence, foreign policy and domestic issues would also be welcome.

Likewise, he is calling on public news outlets to cover these issues and not focus on sound bites or quotes catering to certain candidates.

Sundwall said, “ I have seven months to promote myself for a one day sale. Most people are happy with a choice between Coke & Pepsi. We like to think of ourselves as Root beer. It’s more natural and better for you.”

Eric Sundwall is a legitimate third party candidate for NY’s 20th Congressional district. He has run a small business in Columbia County for over twelve years. He is seeking the Libertarian nomination. While not a large party in New York, it is sometimes considered America’s largest third party. He has brought real high-tech jobs and sales tax income to the district.

The Sundwall campaign plans to announce details of a televised candidates debate.

His television appearance on Brooklyn CATV’s ‘Hardfire’ is scheduled for April 17th.

Mr. Sundwall expects to gain the nomination from the NYLP in April and plans to petition as an independent nomination this summer. Deadline is August 22nd.
