Sam Sloan responds to Benjamin

Dear Elizabeth Benjamin,

I demand a correction of an error in the newspaper today.
http://timesunion.com/AspStories/storyprint.asp?StoryID=476897

In "Libertarians endorse Weld Contender for GOP governor embraces
ballot line, but not all issues of party" By ELIZABETH BENJAMIN, you
wrote:

"We used to be called the party of pride," said Donald Sloan, who
nominated himself for governor. "We're not anymore. Now we're the
party of political expediency."

However, my name is Sam Sloan, not Donald Sloan, and what I said was:
"We used to be called the party of principle. We're not anymore. Now
we're the party of political expediency."

I would like to be credited with saying that. The motto or slogan of
the Libertarian Party is, "The Party of Principle", so this difference
is significant.

Sam Sloan
