Some cross blogging as this up over at the TU blog.

Took 'em while, hope it went up to Rex . . . YouTube helps.

Here's the text . . . .

HF - The LPNY was the only party to wring its hands over a less then ideal candidate. Weld made an explicit promise to run regardless.

The rest of the excuses that call themselves ‘parties’ just nominated the convenient blow-ups in order to retain ballot access so they can play their silly power games.

BTW . . The LPNY doesn’t have ballot status because they DO nominate credible candidates in terms of their principles. Restrictive ballot access by the red and blue gangs keeps everyone else at bay. The faithful will still go out during the hottest weather of the year and get a candidate on the ballot.

Third party candidates would have a chance with the simple electoral mechanism of instant run-off voting. Instead the fatal flaw of the founders and their first past the post system will guarantee that lesser of two evils voting will perpetuate the welfare and warfare parties. Stay hostage to the violence of taxation.
