Blaine Sundwall:

Is it Iran's right to seek nuclear weapons? Are they simply seeking nuclear power for energy conversion? There is no world government that secures any country's rights, the world is run by geopolitics, nothing else.

There may be a technical solution to the question. There is a dramatic difference between the enrichment levels for commercial vs. weapons. A practical solution may be to limit the enrichment levels for Uranium to less than 15%. This would allow power generation but prevent weapons production (ok, maybe dirty bombs, but that's not the point).

Granted Iran is a sovereign country, but who cares? The world really does revolve around power, not rights. The rest of the world WILL have a say about how they implement their program.

Eric:

All that being said, why does the world ignore the weapons that Israel is presumed to have or the damage that Pakistan has already done ?

Blaine Sundwall:

Reckon the percieved threat is less...
